Kris and Bruce Jenner have officially confirmed in a new statement that after a year of hiding the news from the public for almost a year now, the couple are officially separated. The couple got married in April 1991, and for the past six months, have denied rumours of a failed relationship.
The recently separated pair confirmed to E News “We are living separately and we are much happier this way,”. ”But we will always have much love and respect for each other. Even though we are separated, we will always remain best friends and, as always, our family will remain our number one priority.”
According to US weekly, Kris said, “We ended a marriage, but that’s not the end of our friendship,” she also said. “There is no animosity. We are united and committed to our family. I will always love him, but we are longer a couple in that way.”
US weekly had also said back in September that the couple had “problems for a long time” and that their relationship is almost all business.
Although it was evident on this past season of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, the effect of Kris’ constant bossing around on Bruce and reports have it that that was part of the reason for the distance between them.
There were other tell-tale signs on the show that the 22-year old marriage was heading for the rocks. First, was the discussion between Brody Jenner and Brandon Jenner that Kris was not allowing Bruce to have a say in anything that goes on in their lives, saying they knew it took more of a toll on Bruce than he liked to admit. Second was Kris’ meeting with Todd Waterman and subsequent emailing Todd, the man who she cheated on her first husband with, and trying to hide it from Bruce causing a huge rift between the couple.
Currently, it’s not yet been confirmed if there will be a divorce and Kris and Bruce Jenner continue to live apart.
Together Kris, 57 , and Bruce, 63 they have ten children, but mutually have two biological daughters,Kendall and Kylie between them.
