Watermelon is a sweet fruit or vegetable? Whatever you call it everyone loves to eat watermelon either warm or cool or eve chilled (chuckle). Most people just eat the flesh and forget about the rind (skin) and seed, you got to know now that flesh, rind and seeds are also edible and nutrient –rich. In some part of the world, the seed is eaten and enjoyed as a snack .If you choose to eat the rind (skin), make sure you buy the ones grown without chemicals (organic watermelon) – (The reason for this suggestion is an increased risk of unwanted contaminants like pesticide residues on the outer skin of non-organic watermelon.)

Watermelon makes a delightful addition to a fruit salad.

Make sure the watermelon is washed before cutting. Interestingly, there are various ways to cut a watermelon. The flesh can be cubed, sliced, or scooped into balls.
