Blackberry Messenger, the much long awaited platform which quite number of Android User mostly are eager to see working will be made available this Friday (20th September), if a last minutes rumour proves accurate. BlackBerry announced its plans to make BBM cross platform at BlackBerry World Live 2013. It was a big announcement and something that took a lot of people of guard. Android users will be required to sign-in with a BlackBerry account to use the service. Don’t have an existing BlackBerry account? Then you’ll presumably have to register for one. Though, it is not still clear and the fact that some other platform talk about seeing the .apk file for the new BBM is some insight into how visible is it, but despite that Blackberry as a whole has not come out boldly to tell consumer the actually date of the release, its only that a tweet by Samsung Nigeria to a follower in response here give a closer peep into how visible it is for the long and much awaited Android and the iOS version of the BBM.

For as many that are eager and can’t wait to experience how it is going to be like can check for the leak android file here, here or here.

An excerpt from Blackberry: The excitement around the upcoming launch of BBM for Android and iPhone users is amazing. We want to thank everyone for their enthusiasm, but wanted to let people know that the program is structured so that only those in the beta will be able to use the app. The version we’ve seen on the Web in the last couple of days can be downloaded, but will not work on devices that are not approved in the beta program.” – Though, it was not working as it has been tested and the fact that it has to be from Android 4.0 till date which means it must be Ice Cream Sandwich till the current or latest version that will benefit from this one fully launched. So, keep your fingers crossed, if the rumour will be true then hopefully Friday it will surely be out and Android version will surely come before that of the iOS due to license and some other issues.
